Create Simple Shortcut to Customize Windows 7 Notification Icons

Windows 7 has a feature to customize the way your system tray icons work, by doing on a right click on the taskbar notification icons, and then doing a left click on the Properties. But, for some users this way of changing the way the notification icons seems to waste the time of the progress.
So today, I am going to show you all of how to create a simple shortcut on your Windows 7 desktop, to customize your notification icons. Please follow the following steps to start creating the shortcut

Creating the shortcut

1. Do a right click on your desktop, and click New | Shortcut
2. On the location field, type C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}
3. Click Next, then on the name field, type Customize Notification Icons
4. Click OK.














Changing the icon

Now your shortcut is created on your desktop. To change the icon of your shortcut, do right click on the shortcut, and click Properties | Change Icon..
On the icon location field, type taskbarcpl.dll, click OK.

You can now customize your notification icons with a faster access via Windows 7 desktop.
