Windows XP is still a great OS with light performance and not too heavy to run on every kind of PC, even if Windows XP will only continue his journey until 2014. But even Windows XP is a great OS, some features from older Windows versions, especially Windows 98 is not available on Windows XP. One of the features are, the feature to customize a folder background in Windows Explorer. You know, if that feature is still available until now (Windows 7), users will not get bored because maybe they can use different kinds of background on their folders, depending on the folder name and files.
But, is there another way to customize the background image of a folder on Windows XP? The answer is YES! Today, we are going to share another freeware created by IT Geek 2011 that will let you change a folder background using desired images on Windows XP. This freeware is called, Change Folder Background XP.
Change Folder Background XP is easy to use, and works on every Windows XP versions. To restore default folder background, simply delete the desktop.ini file on the folder that you have installed a background image on it.
Program Tips
This program will create a text file with the name desktop.ini, that will configure the image location. With this file you can do:
- Change the folder background without the software
- Hide the file by doing a right click on the file then Properties | Hidden, if the file bugs you
