Windows 8.1 RTM Released to Public! Upgrade Now!

On October 17 2013, Microsoft released Windows 8.1 RTM to public, and the upgrade is absolutely free for Windows 8 users that wanted to upgrade! But if you are still using older versions of Windows, you still need to pay in order to upgrade to Windows 8.1.








Windows 8.1 is actually an updated version of Windows 8, which has been improved with bug fixes and new features such as more customization options for the start screen, options to disable hot corners, Charms bar, direct boot into start screen, and much more! So if you are still using Windows 8, we recommend you to start updating to Windows 8.1.

Before proceeding to the download, you must look at the system requirements in order to install Windows 8.1 (Source: AskVG.com)

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
  • HDD: 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • Graphics Card: DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • Taking advantage of touch input requires a screen that supports multi-touch
  • To run Metro style Apps, you need a screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater
  • To snap apps, you need a screen resolution of at least 1366x768
  • To use secure boot feature the firmware should support UEFI v2.3.1 Errata B and should have the Microsoft Windows Certification Authority in the UEFI signature database
