Metro Bar: Get Windows 8 Build 8220 Start Feature in Windows 7

As we know on latest rumors about the upcoming version of Windows 8, which is Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Build 8220), the start button in Windows 8 will no longer be visible. So to access the start screen, you can do it by hovering your mouse to the left bottom side of your taskbar and you will see a tooltip that will let you access the start screen.

To get this cool feature in Windows 7, you can download this free app called Metro Bar created by our deviantArt friend dejco.

HOW TO USE

To use this awesome app, please follow the steps below.

1. Download the app from the following link

2. Extract the archive using WinRAR or 7-Zip (You can find it in the software section) into a desired folder.

3. Change the start orb using Windows 7 Start Orb Changer with the downloaded orb in the download package.

4. After changing the orb, double click the EXE file

5. Now you will see the start orb on your taskbar will be hidden.

6. To access the start menu, you can hover your mouse to the left bottom side of your taskbar.

7. As you can see, a tooltip will show just like the one in Windows 8!

TIPS

To exit from the app, you can do a right click on the program's notify icon, and then click Exit
