Get Windows 8 "About Windows" Dialog Box On Windows 7

On the previous post of IT Geek 2011, we have shared a tool that will let you get the Windows 8 Milestone "About Windows" dialog box on Windows XP

Now, not just Windows XP users that could get the Windows 8 "About Windows" box, but Windows 7 can now enjoy the same feature, using the freeware that is created by IT Geek 2011 called Windows 8 About Box for Windows 7.

HOW TO USE

1. Download the software using the link given below, and extract the RAR file into a desired folder
2. For 32 bit users, open the installer file and click Install to install
3. If a success message is showing, hit the Windows + R combination key, and type winver and hit enter
4. Now you will see the new about box is showing


TIPS

- For 64 Bit users, you have to copy and replace the winver file that is located in the download package, to the System32 folder.

- To restore default dialog box, run the installer again and hit Restore.

Make sure you have installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 on your PC, otherwise this software and its features will not execute!
